Technical Experience:-
Work Experience in SQL Server 2000, 2005 and SQL Server 2008.
Should be willing to work in shifts.
Should have strong communication skills and experience in handling bridge calls.
Relevant Experience should be more than 5 Years.
Experience in ITIL process would an added advantage.
Should be an SME in any of the two High Availability Features (Replication, DB Mirroring, Log Shipping & DB Clustering) and should have good troubleshooting experience in the rest two.
Should have good knowledge and experience in troubleshooting Performance Issues and Preparing RCA’s.
Should have strong Experience in installation of SQL Server in Standalone and In Cluster Servers, Patching them.
Should have experience in Database Migration and Upgradation.
Should be good in troubleshooting Cluster Failover Issues.
Should have knowledge about new features in SQL Server 2008.
Should have very good understanding about the SQL Server Architecture.
Should have worked in migration of SQL Server and should be aware of the pre and post steps.
Should have experience in Capacity Management for the databases handled.
Experience in TSM and TDP would be an added advantage.
Should be good in maintaning databases by performing regular maintenance of the databases.
Should have experience in activities like DR.
Should be an independent player, own activities and drive them for completion.
Should have understanding about the database audits.
