The senior level Database Administrator is responsible for designing & managing the installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, backup, recovery, tuning and monitoring Oracle (11 & 10g) database servers, Exadata/Financials/Hyperion a plus.

Descriptions:
Design/implement database schemes.
Design, write & tune business logic in PL/SQL, Oracle instance – often working with developers.
Perform Database maintenance w/ minimal downtime.
Performance tuning, availability, planning & documentation are critical.
Install database related software and tools.
Must be a strong team player & mentor to junior DBA’s
Required Skills:
5+ years of PL/SQL Unix shell scripts programming experience
5+ year of DBA experience with 2-tier enterprise environment running Oracle as backend.
Familiar with database high availability, snapshots, backups & restore including Oracle RMAN.
Self learner, troubleshooting skills.
Strong UNIX & Linux skills (Scripting, VI, Cronjobs, AWK and SED), Windows 2003/2008 is a plus.
Fluent in Oracle 11/10g features, i.e. streams/grid…
You will be part of a rotated pager schedule for out of hours support.
Strong hands on experience with Backup and Recovery procedures.
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
MS degree in Computer Science preferred, others considered
2REQ:Senior Oracle Applications / Hyperion Database Administrator and Financials
Summary Description:
We seek a highly qualified and highly motivated Sr. Oracle Applications DBA (ERP). Candidate must demonstrate proactive ownership of the entire ERP infrastructure, including tuning web, app and database tiers. Additionally, candidate must be familiar with troubleshooting Java, Windows and Linux issues associated with rolling out a new Hyperion HFM deployment. Candidate will be responsible for building out ERP as expanded business requirements occur, including the skills to scale ERP globally as new international offices/users are added.
Qualifications:
7+ years of Oracle ERP / database administration (Linux).
Duties included upgrading, cloning and administration of Oracle ERP. Currently running web and app tiers on Solaris and must develop Linux migration plan.
Experience installing and maintaining Hyperion HFM, is required
Ability to manage redundant sites containing multiple node technology stacks such as Oracle Forms, Web, Concurrent Manager, Discoverer, Notification Mailer and Oracle workflow.
UNIX Shell scripts, SQL, SQL Plus, PL/SQL packages, SQL loader, RMAN and Data Guard.
Experience with Oracle RAC, including Exadata is preferred.
Superior verbal and written communications skills including demonstrated documentation experience. Must be team player who can cross-train DBA team on Oracle ERP and Hyperion HFM.
Required Skills:
Experience with Installation/Maintenance of Oracle ERP (R11, R12), patching, and upgrading. Ability to optimize procedures to minimize downtime windows during patching and upgrading.
Strong documentation (architecture, test plans, run book) is required
Ensure the superior performance and functionality of ERP and Hyperion HFM.
Provide Cloning, Patching, Code Migration, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, Database monitoring, User Management, Backup/Recovery Management, SR Management and upgrades.
Administer and maintain Oracle 10g and 11g on Solaris and Linux. Demonstrated superior database performance and SQL troubleshooting skills.
Advanced RMAN backup and recovery skills.
RAC experience, Exadata experience preferred. Ability to setup new Data Guard environments.
Maintain documentation and contribute to the ongoing development of new standards. Ensure compliance with security and PCI standards.
Responsible for providing back-end support for the development, testing and uat environments for Oracle ERP and Hyperion HFM as well as other production databases and new projects.
MS degree in Computer Science preferred, others considered
