We are having an urgent position with our client McKinsey India (www.mckinsey.com) for Gurgaon location.

Position                 – IT Analysts Data Base Management (DBA)

Skills                      – Oracle (10G/11G) RAC with anyone additional skill preference in order DB2/ PostGreSQL/Teradata/MySQL/SQL Server 2008

• Experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA) in Real Application Clusters (RAC) with anyone additional skill preference in order DB2/ PostGreSQL/Teradata/MySQL/SQL Server 2008.
• English language proficiency both written and verbal (B2 following CEFR scheme).
• DBA Specialists work in a team on a 24/7 basis out of Gurgaon.
• Setting up and troubleshooting database monitoring and backup & recovery processes.
• Installation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Oracle servers and databases.
• Performing database upgrade to new versions.
• Applying database patches as per application requirement.
• Oracle Real Application Cluster experience on Unix (AIX.Linux) platform.
• Working knowledge on Unix (AIX, Linux) and Microsoft Windows platform.
• Preferable 1 year experience in any of the following database technologies DB2/ PostGreSQL/Teradata/MySQL/SQL Server 2008
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to monitor Oracle infrastructure and Recovery Manager(RMAN) to backup & restore databases.
• Understanding shell/batch scripts for automation of day to day operations
• Familiarity with ITIL processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primarily provide 2^nd/3^rd  level operational & database administrative support for McKinsey’s IT Oracle (10G/11G) database infrastructure, and RAC in Dev, QA and production environments.
• Provide 2^nd/3^rd  level operational & database administrative support for McKinsey’s IT other database platforms (DB2/ PostGreSQL/Teradata/MySQL/SQL Server 2008) in Dev, QA and production environments.
• Contribute to support related projects such as deployments of new systems/processes, database upgrades etc.

Education                    –B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E./M.Sc (Computer/Electronics)/MCA
