Sr. Software Support Engineer – India

Opportunity Overview:

Our company is seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Software Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team Hyderabad, India. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to understand and diagnose complex technical issues, and to work cooperatively in a team-based customer support environment. Noetix software works with diverse core technologies, including Oracle, Microsoft web services, and Siebel to name a few.

Core Deliverables and Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoots and develops functionally accurate, technical workarounds for complex software and setup errors encountered by customers or field consultants, which are typically escalated from Tier 1 Support Engineers

* Identifies, prioritizes, replicates, diagnoses and resolves user problems in a timely fashion.

* Escalates problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to Tier 3 Engineers in order to meet customer service level agreements

* Liaison with Engineering for prioritization and correction of software bugs or enhancement requests reported by customers or field consultants

* Serve as a mentor to enhance the Oracle technology skills of other Support Engineers, as required

Position Qualifications:

* Excellent oral and written communicator capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

* 5 + years working experience in providing technical customer support services to diverse populations.

* Development experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Database architecture and optimization techniques is preferred

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as on a team

* 5 +years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite with knowledge, either technical or functional, of at least one Oracle ERP module

* Knowledge of one reporting tool (Oracle Business Intelligence, Cognos, Business Objects, Discoverer) is a plus

* Experience in RightNow Technology is preferred

Education / Training:

Bachelor”s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
