ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage various Linux environments of OSI”s clients remotely and on-site.
Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations, clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally or through mail.
Troubleshoots system problems and acts as a mentor to lower-level employees.
Plans, coordinates and performs administration, schedules maintenance and upgrades.
Monitors and evaluates efficiency of system usage and make recommendations to management to improve performance.
Reviews and researches systems for cost effectiveness, compliance to standards and ability to meet future needs.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Willing to work in shifts
Ability to travel as and when required.

Required Skills:

4-7 years experience in the below mentioned areas.

Linux/Unix server installation, configuration and Administration.
Linux/Unix Administration and Troubleshooting.
VMware Administration – virtualization techniques
System Security and Hardening Methodologies.
Backup knowledge in any of one technology
Basic Networking Skills
Should have hands on Storage experience.
Should have good knowledge of RAID concepts.
Should be well versed with LVM
Ability to tune kernel/System parameters on demand.
Scripting knowledge

Knowledge of Oracle a plus
Decent soft skills.
Should have Team leading capability.
Should have basic knowledge of process implementation/Documentation.
Should have concept of Remote Support.
Ability to work with DBA/developers on day to day activity.
Should have good understanding on ticketing systems.
Should have good understanding on system monitoring tools.
Should have good exposure on Open Source software.
Should be able to groom the team on different technologies.
Training skills a plus
