We are looking for NBU (NETBACKUP)For client in Hyderabad location

Primary Responsibilities: (Follow the sun support)
• Event Management
o System monitoring via Netcool, Command line and scripts.
o Administration of BKP environment ( Symantec Netbackup 7.0, )
• Incident Management
o Technical support on incidents. End to end ownership of the incident till resolution.
o Performance management and tuning.
o Join conference calls and coordinate with people across the globe.
o Coordination with Vendor, customer and peer teams
o Escalations to management when required.
o Resolution of incidents within SLA.
• Problem Management
o Root cause analysis in conjunction with the vendor
o Proactive actions to avoid future problems / incidents.
o Service improvement initiatives
o Analyze performance issues and storage usage patterns; maintain adequate capacity of all storage and backup solutions
• Request fulfillment
o Work on requests coming from end users / customers via request tool.
o Fulfill the requests as per the defined process.
• Change management
o Planning and coordination of changes with business units for changes in the BKP environment.
o Analyzing, estimating the impact and communicating the same to the customer.
o Execution of approved changes
Skills:
• Typically 5+yrs experience in distributed storage environments in Symantec Netbackup.
• NETBACKUP Commands
• NETBACKUP Architecture
• Trouble-shooting client-side issues in Netbackup environment.
• Troubleshooting of failed drives and stuck tapes.
• Administration of ACSLS, IBM Tape Library
• Administration and troubleshooting of VTL/SIR/Data Domain
• Administration of Storage Lifecycle policies.
• Data Restoration using Netbackup
• Knowledge of Unix and Windows Operating environment in enterprise environment.
• Hands on experience of Netbackup in clustered environment.

Added advantage:

• Experience in an associated technology (Server, Networks)
• Experience with scripting using PERL, UNIX shell or similar languages
• Symantec Netbackup 7.0 Certification.
