Candidate should have exp. in following :

– Should have exp. on SQL Server 2000/05/08 background.
– Experience in SQL DBA 5 to 8yrs
– Hands on experience in SQL Server 2000/05/08.
– production support and queryoptimization
– Hands on experience of at least one Job Scheduling Tool and one alert/monitoring Tool.
– Hands on experience in database replication and clustering.
– Should have exp. in clustering & mirroring/replication/

RESPNOSIBILITES:

– 24×7 Production support to databases including production, development and QA databases.
– Monitor and troubleshoot various database issues locally and remotely.
– Maintaining data integrity and tune database for optimum performance and availability as per user request.
– Refreshing Database (schema export and import) as per the requirements of the clients for functional testing.
– Creating and managing Views, Materialized views, Indexes, Users, roles, privileges, DBLinks.
– Perform routine backups and restore whenever required.
– Monitor and optimize the queries that are consuming lot of resources.
– Performance Monitoring, Backups, Disaster Recovery strategies and end user support.
– Deploying application related RFC and PATCHES as well as CPU patches from time to time.
– Database auditing as per user request.
– Resolution the different ORA-Errors.
– Database replication and clustering.
– Willing to work in night shifts if required.
– Strong Team Player and excellent communication skills.
