Working Hours: 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM
Responsibilities for Database Administrator (DBA) ‒ Oracle
1. Design and document database architecture. Data Modeling.
2. Build database schema, tables, procedures and permissions
3. Develop database utilities and automated reporting
4. Create shell scripts for task automation
5. Create, test and execute DML
6. Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
7. Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency
8. Monitor systems and platforms for availability
9. Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
10. Restore and recover corrupted databases
11. Install and test upgrades and patches
12. Implement security and encryption
13. Quick learner and should have working knowledge in DB2, SYBASE, MYSQL and Shell Scripting.
14. Good knowledge in Linux, Unix, SAN, RAID and on HA solutions (VCS, RHCS)
15. Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
16. Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
17. Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects
18. Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate customer needs and address concerns.
