Job Position: IT Analyst Oracle DBA

Job Description:

Description

* Playing the role of Lead administrator in Database admin teams for the
Enterprise.* Assist IT analysts design a logical design of database
based on requirements & also help in choice of database engine.*
Convert the logical design to physical design based from logical design
based on the database engine.* Using scripts/procedures to create such
physical database structures on servers.* As part of ongoing changes
(both application & non-application related changes) & new
applications as required, administer the databases. This includes
allocating appropriate resources like memory, disk, institute backup
& recovery processes. Ensure databases are recovered & setup
should failures occur (both application as well as hardware).* Assisting
the IT Analyst in performance tuning their application from a database
perspective. Managing complex projects like migration of database
servers to newer versions. At a lesser level this may involve applying
database and server patches as recommended by vendors like Oracle, IBM.
This may include analysis, planning, scheduling & rollout of such
changes, managing support mailbox and support tickets to ensure SLA is
met* Troubleshooting and analyzing of database activities, performance
tuning activities.* Helping the Project Manager in building domain
knowledge within the team.* Mentoring Coaching team members as far as
technical things are concerned.* Ensuring team follows organizational,
group and team guidelines* Timely escalation of Risks/issues to all
relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

* Excellent knowledge of Oracle 9.x/10.x/11.x databases. * Should have
prior experience in production support 24*7.* Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills.* Technical Leadership in production support of
Oracle 9.x/10.x/11.x databases in a production and non-production
environments. * Good trouble shooting skills and Analytical skills.*
Provides a leadership role and technical direction to team members in
order to solve difficult design/production problems. * Assists in
resolution of difficult technical issues whether within the company or
outside suppliers.

Working in information Technology in a manufacturing company.* Technical
Leadership in Oracle Database administration and support
responsibilities. * Good trouble shooting skills and Analytical skills. *
Provides a leadership role and technical direction to team members in
order to solve complex database related issues. * Assists in resolution
of difficult technical issues whether within the company or outside
suppliers.- OCP 9.x/10.x/11.x Certified

* At least 5 years of Information Technology experience. * Excellent
knowledge of Oracle database support and mainframe environment. * Should
have prior experience in support of ORacle databases on production and
non production environments. * Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
