Experience Level: 4 – 8 Years

Primary Skills:

* Hands on experience on Database migration/up gradation (10g to 11g)

* Expert in Installation/Up gradation/Patching and Configuration and Maintenance of 10g and 11g database.

* Need Experience of DB Migration and Up gradation.

* Experience of Identifying Bad Queries and Tuning them accordingly.

* Candidate must be having experience on Database performance tuning.

* Preparing and reviewing change plans

* Sound knowledge of Database Administration on Oracle 10g & 11g

* Hands on experience of Transportable Tablespace across platform (ex: HPUX to Linux)

* Should be strong in Coding and Review, have good Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.

* Candidate will be required to perform tasks like – Database design and support, Performance tuning and security Management,

Capacity planning (Identify the usage pattern and suggest improvement in performance) and Change Management.

* Hands on exp in Db creation/ init parameters(ex: memory parameters, ASYNC IO etc)

* Db refresh from Online/offline FS backup.

* Performance tuning of memory parameter and OS parameter.

* Experience in developing Processes for data backup and restoration and SQL Plus, PL/SQL and shell scripting is required.

* Need Experience on all type of Backup & Restoration. (i.e. FS, Export and RMAN).

* Good in Backup and recovery concepts using RMAN.

* Good Experience of troubleshooting of daily issues (i.e. locking and performance issue).

* Candidate must have handled large databases.

* Identifying and Troubleshooting issues with the help of AWR reports.

* Experience on resolving query issues with the help of  Explain Plan.

* Experience of Performance Tuning of DBs.

* Basic SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.

* Good in Oracle RDBMS architecture and concepts.

* Usage of dictionary views.

* Sound knowledge of Database administration (undo, redo, space, memory management).

* Should have excellent communication, both written and oral and the ability to network.

* Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure.

Other Skills:

* Working knowledge of RAC/ASM OR Dataguard.

* Hands on experience of Export/Import, EXPDP/IMPDP.

* Good in shell scripting and knowledge of Maestro scheduler.

* Good Knowledge of HPUX & Linux commands and basic knowledge of  OS admin.

* User management/Tablespace management etc.

* Strong database design, implementation, and management Expert level performance tuning of an Oracle 10g and 11g Environment.

* Fault Management.
