Responsibilities Administer and maintain large Data Warehouses hosted in Cloud or locally

Perform Capacity Planning, Performance optimization and upgrades

Review any changes to the data model for impact on existing application

Assist the BI Developers in troubleshooting oracle database related issues

Assist the BI Developers in optimizing  report performance

Proactively monitor the oracle database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime

Preferred Background 5+ years of experience in maintaining large databases / data warehouses running on Microsoft SQL Server

Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices

Experience with new analytical databases like Aster data, Vertical is desired

Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU,memory,I/O, disk space and other resource contention

Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques

Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques

Proficiency in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using
Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and
troubleshooting tools.
