Key Result Areas
Level 3 Database Support:
Provide Level-3 (Specialist) support on diverse database technologies to Level-2 DBA teams and Orange External / Internal customers
Provide Knowledge Transfer to the L2 teams
Provide On-Call support on request basis
 Ensure that the Level-2 DBA teams are adopting the new technologies that are added in the Product catalog
 Ensure the consistent Level-3 support for databases to Level-2 system teams and customers
 Ensure the development and maintenance of Service and Product catalog
 Ensure systems are available, reliable, and work at optimum performance
 Management of Mean Time To Restore Service targets
 Provision of technical consultancy to development plans and projects
 Ensure legal requirements are adhered to for the licensing
 Provision of effective and efficient running of the systems and ensure its optimum performance

Knowledge
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / 2008-R2
• Excellent knowledge and solid experience in Microsoft SQL Cluster 2008-R2 / 2008 / 2005 (Installation, Configuration, Administration)
• Knowledge and solid experience of installation, configuration, and cloning of SQL Server databases
• Good knowledge on Oracle 11g / 10g, Interbase on Windows platforms
• Excellent knowledge and solid experience in Local Cluster, Metro Cluster and Global Cluster
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of database Backup and Recovery
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience in Database Performance Tuning
• Microsoft Skills (OS, Cluster MCSC, Power Shell Scripting, Basic understanding of System Administration commands that are used by the DBA’s)
• Understand and willing to provide database support on rotational basis, 24 X 7
• Strong communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Should be a team player

Skill Set
• Microsoft SQL Cluster 2008-R2 / 2008 / 2005 (Installation, Configuration, Administration)
• Database Administration (Microsoft SQL Server 2008-R2 / 2008 / 2005, Oracle 11g / 10g, Interbase)
• Backup & Recovery (Export/Import, Full/Incremental/Differential)
• Performance Tuning (Database Tuning, Query Tuning, CPU Contention Analysis, I/O Contention Analysis, Memory Issues etc.)
• Shell Scripting (Powershell)
• Operating Systems (Windows 2008-R2 / 2008 / 2003)
