Job Title: Sr. SQL DBA

Experience: 5+ Years

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Expert knowledge of MS SQL 2008 and 2005
· Expert knowledge of query processing, analysis of execution plans, plan caching and reuse.
· Expert knowledge of index internals, maintenance and tuning.
· Deep understanding of DMVs and their usage.
· Understanding of locking and concurrency issues and their symptoms.
· Experience performing maintenance (index defragmentation, backups, etc) in 24/7 environment with no off-peak hours.
· Knowledge of SQL Server Relational and Storage Engine architecture.
· Experience with multiple high-availability solutions (clustering, replication, hardware data mirroring, etc).
· Experience developing and maintaining high-throughput ETL processes.
· Experience with dimensional data modeling and MS BI stack.
