unix / aix admin [5-8 yrs]

Title: UNIX/AIX Admin
Location: Hyderabad,India
Type : Permanent
Mandatory Skills: Hands on HACMP and LPAR administration.

•Overall 5 to 8 years of Unix System Administration Experience out of which at least 4 Years should be in AIX environment.
•Installation of OS , upgrade
•Strong Knowledge & Experience in AIX OS 5.x and 6.x System administration and installation, troubleshooting and configuration management
•Troubleshooting, Problem solving
•Managing file system
•Configuring disks, new HW, volume groups, LV’s
•Strong experience in interfacing of external devices like Storage, Networking and backup devices
•Installing packages, patches, ML’s, TL’s in AIX
•Package, Patch management (installation, remove, verify)
•User, group management
•Disk mirroring, Raid configuration
•Update/modify kernel parameters
•HACMP Installation and configuration
•Working Knowledge on LVM, file system administration, installation and configuration and maintenance of HACMP clusters.
•Working experience on the HACMP – HMC/LPAR/DLPAR etc. and additional knowledge on Workload balancing, Power5 virtualization would be an added advantage
•Good Understanding of trouble shooting & AIX Commands and Smitty management tool
•Strong experience in interfacing of external devices like Storage, Networking and backup devices
•Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security on AIX Platforms
•Strong concepts of networking like TCP / IP Loading of software, Networking, TCP/IP, NFS, NIS & DNS.
•Performance tuning
•NIM Server installation and configuration.
•Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security.
