Knowledge and Skills Required:
• DB2 Auditing
• Experience with data sharing
• Some Hands on experience with Federation Server and/or Replication Server
• Manage the Oracle 11G environment
• Manage Oracle upgrades by applying Oracle CPU patches
• Manage OEM 11g. Create thresholds, Alerts, Blackouts
• Ability to perform the above responsibilities on Unix database platforms (UDB and Oracle) and well as Microsoft SQL Server on Windows
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• General knowledge and hands-on experience in all database disciplines, including logical and physical database design, database implementation, storage management, system and database systems administration
• Knowledge of database Backup & Recovery concepts, database security and monitoring is essential
• Experience with Perl, shell scripts programming is a plus.
