OC4J configuration issue in EM

Posted by Pavan DBA on May 4, 2010

Hi Friends, recently i tried to configure Oracle enterprise manager in one of my database and issued below command

$ emctl status dbconsole

i got the following ouput

OC4J Configuration issue. /opt/oracle/oracle/product/10.2.0/DB/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_iss.dk_PAS not found.

Then i found that we need to have a directory in the specified location with specified name and i found a directory called OC4J_DBConsole. Then i renamed it to OC4J_DBConsole_iss.dk_PAS which solved the issue.

Hope this may help you and in next post i will present different EM commands

    Hi Pavan,

    Initially my GUI was worked fine but now whenever i try to start the consol service it throws “Windows could not start the oracledbconsoleorcl on Local computer. For more information, view the system event log. If this is a non-Microsoft services, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 2”.

    I have tried everything which was suggested in every other site.

    Do i have any solution to solve this ?

    Regards
    Ashwini
